Figure C.1, graph 3, is a line graph showing the percentages of youths aged 12 to 17 reporting lifetime and past year use of marijuana, by the age of the respondent and gender. The graph indicates that both lifetime and past year marijuana use were markedly higher among older youths than younger youths. This third graph also indicates that younger males and females used marijuana at similar levels, but that among older youths (i.e., those aged 16 or 17) males had higher rates of both lifetime and past year marijuana use than females.
