Figure 2.8 is a bar chart indicating the percentages of youths aged 12 to 17 reporting that they would strongly disapprove if a same-aged peer engaged in substance use. The chart indicates that 63.5 percent of youths would strongly disapprove if a peer used marijuana, 63.7 percent would strongly disapprove if a peer used cigarettes, and 63.4 percent would strongly disapprove if a peer used alcohol.
